In creating Opus Magnum,
Yann Faisant relied on three references to give meaning to his creative work: the sciences of nature, the golden ratio and the cathedral builders’ regulating draft, as well as alchemy.
A fourth opening imposed itself: “intuition”, that led him unconsciously to a new level of extraordinary creativeness.
Like alchemists of the Middle Ages, he achieved the two poles of the Great Work – the artist’s creation in his studio and a spiritual quest in his inner self carried out while meditating in nature.
Faisant does not claim to have found the secret of the philosopher’s stone, but he rejuvenates himself at the source of traditional craftsmanship transmitted by oral tradition.
